Departure Information
• All passengers leaving Hawai'i for overseas destinations are required to check their luggage through an agricultural inspection. You must be present for this simple process.
• At Lana'i Airport agricultural inspection is offered daily on a limited schedule. Please check with Concierge for the current hours of operation. The convenience of having your luggage inspected on Lana'i is it saves you the time of having to claim your luggage in Honolulu and coordinating the inspection there.
• If you’re unable to have your luggage go through agricultural inspection on Lana'i, you will need to do so in the Main Terminal at the Honolulu International Airport. This will require picking up your luggage at the baggage claim in the Commuter or Inter-island terminal, and taking it to the Main Terminal for agricultural inspection prior to checking in your bags for your overseas flight.
• If transferring to a Mainland carrier, you need at least 2 hours or more to make sure your bags make your connecting flights. Please be sure to allow ample time between flights for this process.
• The Wiki Wiki Shuttle is again available free of charge to transfer you between the inter-island and main terminals.

Attire
During the day, casual wear including shorts, shoes or sandals is appropriate.
Long pants are required for horseback riding and suggested for hiking, collared shirts for golf and whites for croquet. Because swimsuits are not allowed in hotel common areas, an appropriate wrap or cover is recommended. Due to the upcountry climate, light jackets are recommended for cooler daytime and evening temperatures.

For the Lodge at Koele, resort evening wear (excluding shorts, jeans, collarless shirts, and sandals) is required in common areas and for dinner. For the Manele Bay Hotel, we suggest comfortable resort wear (excluding shorts). Jackets for men and appropriate evening attire for women are required in the Formal Dining Room at the Lodge at Koele, and suggested for Ihilani at the Manele Bay Hotel.
