Check-In and Departures
Check-in time at both resorts is 3:00 p.m. Check-out is at 12:00
noon.
• To ensure a smooth and easy check-out on the day of departure,
we highly recommend that you contact our Concierge at least 24 hours
in advance with your departing flight information.
• At the same time, arrangements for transportation either to the
airport or Manele Small Boat Harbor may be scheduled.
• Based on availability, complimentary changing rooms may be made
available to make early arrival or late departure more convenient.
• Each resort’s fitness center and golf course have locker and shower
facilities available.
To guarantee late check-out, an additional half night to one-night
stay may be charged.
Transportation
Air Transportation
Island Air offers approximately 50 scheduled flights weekly.
• Island Air flies from Honolulu
and Maui. From Honolulu, Island Air departs for Lana‘i from the
Commuter terminal. For reservations call 1-800-323-3345.
•Marjet offers convenient luxury charter service in high speed turbine
aircraft from all islands to Lana'i. For reservations call 1-808-833-1631.
• In Honolulu there is the Wiki Wiki Shuttle bus at the airport
that takes you from your mainland flight to either terminal at no
charge. Pick-up spots are just outside the Main Terminal.

Luggage Information
• The airport code for Lana'i is LNY. This information will be helpful
to you when checking your luggage in with the airlines to ensure
that they are tagged properly.
• Please keep in mind that Island Air enforces a baggage weight
limit of 44 pounds per person. Luggage exceeding this weight may
be sent on a later flight.
• We suggest that you take an overnight bag with essentials with
you on the flight.
Shuttle
• For registered guests of the Lana'i resorts, the Lana'i Airport
and Manele Small Boat Harbor transfer fee is $25 per person, round
trip, excluding tax (subject to change). Children ages 4 to 12 will
be charged $12.50 per person, round trip, plus tax. Children under
the age of 3 are complimentary. This charge will be posted to the
guest's account at check-in.
•Regularly scheduled shuttle service between the Lodge at Koele,
the Manele Bay Hotel and Lana'i City is complimentary.
•The transportation fee includes unlimited use of any scheduled
shuttles and departures from Lana'i Airport or the Manele Small
Boat Harbor.
•Shuttle service is also available to the golf courses, sporting
clays range, and stables.
•For the best service, please give us arrival information when you
make reservations. All hotel guest transportation services are provided
by Castle and Cooke Resorts, LLC.
Vehicle Rentals
• Rental cars are highly popular among our guests who wish to independently
explore the island’s more remote beaches, archaeological sites,
and four-wheel drive terrain.
• Cars, vans and four-wheel drive vehicles are available through
Dollar Rent-A-Car and can be booked by calling 808-565-7227 (or,
for Worldwide Reservation, 1-800-800-4000).
• We recommend confirming all vehicle rentals prior to your arrival
on Lana'i.
Boat
• The Expeditions passenger ferry offers a comfortable 45-minute
ride daily between Lahaina, Maui and the Manele Boat Harbor on Lana'i.
It’s a great way to visit Maui for the day.
• Advance reservations for ferry service are required. Call Expeditions
at 808-661-3756 (for inter-island use only, 1-800-695-2624).
• Arriving Hotel Guests will be transported to the Manele Bay Hotel
and then to the Lodge at Koele. Luggage service is available.
•Registered guests will be charged $25 per person, plus tax (subject
to change) or round trip transfer to the harbor or airport and use
of the inter-hotel shuttle.
•Day visitors may access shuttle service to the hotels or golf course
for $5 or $10 per person (tax included) round trip transfer based
on destination.
Departure Information
• All passengers leaving Hawai'i for overseas destinations are required
to check their luggage through an agricultural inspection. You must
be present for this simple process.
• At Lana'i Airport agricultural inspection is offered daily on
a limited schedule. Please check with Concierge for the current
hours of operation. The convenience of having your luggage inspected
on Lana'i is it saves you the time of having to claim your luggage
in Honolulu and coordinating the inspection there.
• If you’re unable to have your luggage go through agricultural
inspection on Lana'i, you will need to do so in the Main Terminal
at the Honolulu International Airport. This will require picking
up your luggage at the baggage claim in the Commuter or Inter-island
terminal, and taking it to the Main Terminal for agricultural inspection
prior to checking in your bags for your overseas flight.
• If transferring to a Mainland carrier, you need at least 2 hours
or more to make sure your bags make your connecting flights. Please
be sure to allow ample time between flights for this process.
• The Wiki Wiki Shuttle is again available free of charge to transfer
you between the inter-island and main terminals.
Credit
• Both resorts accept American Express, Visa, Master Card, Diners
Club and JCB as payment upon check-out.
• You may also settle your account with cash or traveler’s checks.
• You may cash personal checks up to $200 per day at the Front Desk
with proper identification.
• There are three ATM machines in the town center for your convenience.
Safe Deposit Boxes
• Safe deposit boxes are located in both resorts at the Front Desk.
• Small in-room safes are provided in each guest room.
• In-room safes at the Lodge at Koele have a separate lock and key,
which are available at the front desk upon request.
• In-room safe at the Manele Bay Hotel have built-in locks with
keys in the rooms.
Room Service
Room Service is available from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at both resorts.
Liquor codes
In order to conform to Maui County liquor codes, no one is allowed
to consume alcohol that has not been purchased through licensed
wholesalers in the State of Hawai'i.
Corkage and carrying alcoholic beverages of any kind are available
in the nearby town of Lana'i City, including Henry Clay’s Rotisserie,
Blue Ginger Café, Nani’s Corner, Pele’s Other Garden and Tanigawa’s.
Attire
During the day, casual wear including shorts, shoes or sandals is
appropriate.
Long pants are required for horseback riding and suggested for hiking,
collared shirts for golf and whites for croquet. Because swimsuits
are not allowed in hotel common areas, an appropriate wrap or cover
is recommended. Due to the upcountry climate, light jackets are
recommended for cooler daytime and evening temperatures.
For the Lodge at Koele, resort evening wear (excluding shorts, jeans,
collarless shirts, and sandals) is required in common areas and
for dinner. For the Manele Bay Hotel, we suggest comfortable resort
wear (excluding shorts). Jackets for men and appropriate evening
attire for women are required in the Formal Dining Room at the Lodge
at Koele, and suggested for Ihilani at the Manele Bay Hotel.
